2024 ACOA Scholarship
Scholarships Available
In 2024, ACOA will draw names of two recipients who will receive one $500 scholarship each.
Application Deadline
Scholarship applications must be postmarked or delivered to the ACOA office no later than July 1, 2024.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must:
- be a senior in high school in good standing, have graduated from high school, or obtained a Graduate Record Examination (GRE), and
- be accepted into an Institution of Higher Education, and
- be a dependent of an ACOA Member in good standing.
- Each dependent child is only eligible to receive the ACOA Scholarship once.
What Qualifies as an Institution of Higher Education for this Scholarship?
An Institution of Higher Education is any accredited university, college, trade or vocational center.
Who Qualifies as a Dependent Child of an ACOA Member?
A dependent is defined as a person under 26 years of age who is either 1) the child of an ACOA Member or 2) someone whom the ACOA Member has declared as a dependent on their 2023 Federal tax return. Spouses are not eligible for this scholarship award.
Requirements and Submission
An application will be considered submitted when a complete, signed Scholarship Application Form is received at the ACOA office. Applications may be mailed, dropped off, or emailed. The ACOA office address is 203 E 5th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501 and the email is office@acoa.us.
Selection
A random drawing from all eligible applicants will be held on July 12, 2024. Awardees will be announced at www.acoa.us. Scholarships will be paid directly to the Institution of Higher Education.
